EPHJ 2025 – From Engineering Partner to Industrial Equipment Provider
EPHJ 2025 marked an important milestone for Oratek.
This year was our fifth participation at the fair. In previous editions, we primarily presented our engineering and custom development services. In 2025, for the first time, we showcased dedicated equipment developed specifically for the watchmaking industry.
After seven years working largely behind the scenes on confidential industrial developments, this edition reflects a clear evolution in our positioning.
Building on Years of Custom Development
Over the past years, Oratek has developed numerous custom systems for demanding clients in horology and precision industries. Most of this work was directly integrated into our customers’ production environments.
At EPHJ 2025, we presented structured equipment built on that accumulated experience. The objective was to demonstrate how complex industrial challenges can be translated into reliable, compact and production-ready solutions.
The Equipment Presented at EPHJ 2025
During the exhibition, we introduced two solutions developed for watchmaking applications:
CXY-300 – Compact Vision-Based Quality Control
The CXY-300 is a compact and high-performance vision system designed for precision inspection of watch components and micro-mechanical parts.
It combines advanced image processing, controlled lighting and an intuitive interface in a compact industrial format suitable for integration into production lines or standalone inspection stations.

ACM-8 – Advanced Control and Imaging Module
The ACM-8 is a modular platform designed to provide a stable and repeatable imaging and control environment for high-precision industrial applications.
Developed with watchmaking constraints in mind, it ensures consistency, robustness and seamless integration into demanding production workflows.

Strong and Relevant Feedback
The feedback received during EPHJ 2025 was particularly encouraging.
Both pieces of equipment address current challenges in the watchmaking industry:
- Increasing quality requirements
- Repeatability and traceability
- Compact and integrated automation
- Reduction of variability in manual inspection
Discussions with manufacturers and industrial partners confirmed that these topics are central to today’s production environments.
A Clear Step Forward
While EPHJ has always been an important event for Oratek, the 2025 edition represents a significant step forward. It reflects our evolution from a discreet engineering partner to a provider of dedicated industrial equipment for watchmaking.
